Don Seedsman & I left the Boro last Sat. and 6 days later are only in Wall, SD. We have camped 4 nights and moteled 2. It is cold & rainy, hailed on us going thru the Badlands Natl. Pk! We hope to see Mt. Rushmore tomorrow and head for Yellowstone. We may or may not reach Dawson City, YT by the 19th. The hack is performing well but gas mileage is running from 21 mpg to 30 mpg. A lot depends on the wind, we have encounatered some strong winds that make it hard to stay on the bike, much less keep it straight!! For those who may be interested a copy of my daily Spot messages is being posted on choppercharles.com. under the thread "the hack leaves on Saturday in the tralers & friends portion of the board. Will try to post again.

On your way out of Dead hourse after the 20 mile mark there was a Shell gas with motel and camping on the right if you are headed south ,Wife was a teacher , Probley pretty old by now like in there 60s LOL ,They were old to me then as I was 21 and they were around 40s
They showed a young GI some kindness in the middle of nowhere by giving him a room in the middle of the night for $20 fed me and chatted with me after being on the road in a rolled jeep for 5 days. Its a lost cause but always wanted them to know I remembered.
Just if you need gas around there or happen to stop take a picture

Gene, So where are you now?
Trailace, I am in Anchorage. We have been to Valdez, Whitter, Kenai Penn. (Cooper Landing), floated down the Kenai river, been to Fairbanks, camped north of the Arctic Circle, and yesterday Don changed the oil & filter in the ST, here in Anchorage and today, with Scott Romine's help put a new tire on the rear of the ST. Tomorrow we head toward Delta Junction and then back out of Alaska via Tok. When we get back into Canada we are headed for Nova Scotia. There was a couple of pictures of the hack when we were in Dawson City posted in a trip report on ADv board, how bout that! Will try to post again soon.

We have completed our tour of Alaska and are now in Hudson Bay, Sk. We are headed Winnipeg then further east. Had rear tire replaced in Anchorage. Front tire looks like it may make the trip. Hack tire will make the trip but I am worried about one trailer tire. Fortunately, we have a spare trailer tire. Will try to post again soon.

Gene, I don't know how much air you're carrying in the trailer, but I know Bunkhouse reccomends 50 PSI, but I always found that was way too much and you only wore out the very center of the tire. I dropped mine down to 25 lbs and had even wear across the tread.

Mac, the tires on the trailer are carrying around 30lbs. The wear on the one tire seems to be from something else. We are going to try to make it on the tires that are there and only use our spare if we have to.
Today we are at the home of a friend, known on several boards as "Sidecar" Bob, in Woodville, Ont. He and Don are replacing the brake pads on the ST and checking the brakes on the sidecar. We hope to pounce on another friend in Belleville, Ont. Tuesday. After that we will be on to Halifax, then Prince Edward Island and then, finally back into the states. When we enter the states we will be headed for a CX/GL rally near Lewisberg, Pa. At this point we are over 11,000 miles. After visiting my son in Columbus, Oho we will visit a friend of Don's in Dayton and then back to the Boro. Our total miles could be between 14 & 15 thousand, thats 7,000 to 7,500 miles for each of us in the saddle & sidecar!

We are closing in on the end of our trip. Tonight we are in western Mass at a campground. We made it across Canada, including Nova Scoitia & PEI. We crossed back into the US day before yesterday and our miles now stands at just under 14,000. It appears we will be very near 15,000 when we return to Murfreesboro. The ST has done well, the sidecar has had some minor problems and the Bunkhouse has done great!
