I have been researching the different trailer models that can be towed behind a motorcycle. I have narrowed it down to two choices. The first one is the Excel model that is made by Lees-ure Lite. I like the hard floors that remain off of the ground and quick setup. This company has a dealer only 30 minutes from where I live.
The second choice is the Extended bed version made by Roll-a-home. This model has all of the same features as about plus the side out bed option and the 18 cubic foot storage space that is accessible when towing or with the tent setup.I'm waiting to hear back from them regarding shipping since they are located in Wisconsin.
Does anyone here have any experience with either models? Anything to look for when purchasing one?
Great forum here that I stumbled across the other day. There is a lot of good information to be read here. Thanks.

Yes, I have a rollahome and know the LL very well. Both are very good trailers and pull nice but as you said, the rollahome has storage. Do a search on here for them and see all I have said about them. I am on my phone/mobile so I will leave it at that.

Bipeflier, I just posted on the original thread that you gave as a link. Thank you so much for your great post! I've wanted a camper trailer for some time and didn't know where to start! Thanks again!

I've had 3 campers. A 1983 Bunkhouse that had seen better days, but it was ok for a 1st try. The newer ones are much better.
I bought a Roll-a-Home around 2001 and I liked it better, but was the first iteration and had issues. Did not tow very well unless perfectly loaded (I carried a lot of stuff) and I couldn't access the cargo w/o putting up the tent, a real PIA. It did have two little cargo doors in the rear, IIRC, but they were pretty much useless. They popped open a couple of times and ejected cargo, so I was careful what I stowed near the doors. This trailer was built by the original owners and was one of their first years of manufacturing. It was made in MT. The company moved to UT (new owners?) and now I hear it's in Wisconsin, so it moves around quite a bit. From my understanding, there have been many improvements since I had mine and owners are quite happy with their trailers.
My present trailer is the Aspen Classic, which IMHO, is the best camper I have owned. Handles very well on all types of roads and has gobs of room and storage space. Since I travel alone (wife doesn't care for camping) I probably would have done just fine with the Aspen Sentry trailer or maybe a Lil Bunkhouse, since the wife doesn't like to camp.

Ab, I have an 06 Lil Bunkhouse that is much smaller than what you have been discussing but last summer I took it to Alaska and back across Canada, a 15,256 mile circle from Murfreesboro, Tn. The Lil BH performed well, of course it was only large enough for me. My riding buddy from Oz used a tent, my rig is an ST100/Hannigan Astro hack. I see you are also a hack driver. BTW it appears you have decided on a Rollahome, great choice!

PS: Chris, your link on the states you have ridden did not work for me, the Canada one did.

I followed your trip and can only hope to be able to do one like that someday. Had to be a lot of fun. Here is some pics of my hack.

Chris, those pictures are great, that is a very nice rig! My hitch is a Uni-go, with a custom made adaptor for a standard ball mount. I could not tell from your pictures, where is your hitch attached or were those pictures prior to purchase of the Roll-A-Home? I am looking forward to the coming camping season, this has been a long winter for everyone, and its not over yet!
