Does anybody else like the M/C only camps? I find they are set up well and I like browsing around the bikes looking at what people are riding. There are some great people at these, what could be better M/C and camping people at the same place. I also like National Forest sites most are primative but in really beautiful areas.

I have never stayed in a motorcycle only campground so I can?t really say. I tried a few time but they were closed for the season. However National Forest are my favorite place to camp.

Rick here is a webpage with several sites on it. I have stayed at a couple unattended M/C sites and leave money under the office door. These might be good to put on the site somewhere if that is legal? I'll let you and Joe decide on that.

That is a great site... if they are okay with listing the site we could add a couple link categories to this page http://www.motocampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66 , maybe a Free and a Business link for each state..
Thanks!

Hey Y'all- My boss (wife) and I hit the motorcycle campgrounds several times a year. We even spent the first night of our honeymoon at Willville Bike Camp in Meadows of Dan Virginia right off the Blue Ridgs Parkway. Since most of the M/C only campgrounds are within a day ride of home (NC) I've been to several of them. I can't say anything bad about any of them, but we definitely do have our favorites. Willville and Blue Ridge Motorcycle camps are the two we love the most. There are at least 5 new ones opened up in the past 2 or 3 years in the Smokies around deals gap and the Cherahola sky way. I just hope that the market can support them. Some of the places have a lot of capital poureed into them. Here's some links I've been collecting to M/C only campgrounds.

Rich we have probably passed or even talked. BRMC is my favorite, but I also like Willville. I have been to TWO, and plan on staying at 29 dreams on a trip to The Barber MSP (after hitting up 2 freebies on the Natches Parkway this season. I have never stayed at the Deals Gap sites. I hear Riders Roost is nice. Ride safe and thanks for the sites.

Rich, I agree with you completely on your choice of campgrounds. BRMC and Willville are both great places. Both atract a great bunch of riders and are situated right in the middle of some great riding areas.

My wife and I stayed at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campgrounds near Cruso, NC a couple of years ago in one of their camping cabins. Nice place, nice folks with clean facilities and good food (especially enjoyed the breakfast menu). We were there in late May and it was cool at night - had to close the windows in the cabin and use the strip heater. Fantastic area for riding - hope to get back there in the future.

The only one I have stayed at so far was Rider's Roost in N.C. Very nice and the guys who run it are a hoot.
