View Full Version : Fuel Mileage w/trailer?
Just wondering how much less fuel mileage you can expect to get pulling a trailer, bunkhouse, leisure lite etc.

Bunkhouse will drop you at least 5-10 MPG, depending on which way the wind is blowing and how hard.

We returned from Gainesville today and our average was 27.3 mpg pulling the piggybacker 2up on superslab 80-90.This was from the ST's readout. At less speed we've gotten as much as 33mpg while pulling.

I really haven't noticed any difference in mpg pulling the Uni-Go. Oh I'm sure there is, it's just that it seems to be so little that I couldn't tell if the difference would be the trailer or the current riding style. My mileage can vary ALOT! :D

I thinks it varies by bike. With my Goldwing 1500 pulling our TimeOut camper I was lucky if I got 25 mpg. With my Harley Ultra Classic pulling the BunkHouse I would get 25 to 30 mpg. With My Voyager get 43 to 45 mpg pulling the BunkHouse w/dolly. Of course the Voyager has the smallest motor of them all, and it probably weighs the least. When pulling the CycleMate Cargo trailer the mpg might drop a couple with any of them no matter how it was loaded.
