It doesn't give much of a description, but here is one I haven't seen before. People are always converting their garage spaces into something else, so I guess you could you do the same with this tent. :) Can't beat the price, which is kind of a surprise from KTM!:p

I like that style tent. I wish someone had a review of how waterproof it is.

I have this tent (http://bigagnes.com/str_tents.php?bid=11)and I am still thinking of getting the vestibul to use as shade or put my bike in,

I measured it and it should fit ;)

How does the Big Agnes fit in the stuff bag? Does it make a rectangular package or does it roll up like a regular tent? I've been looking at that tent also.

The bag it comes with is a retangel with the rain fly and ground cloth on one side and the tent on the other, tent poles go in the center where it folds. Fold it over and strap it together. A bit bulky.

I have tried it by packing the Big Agnes bag in one of my other bags (pretty bulky) and by putting all the fabric parts in a smaller compression bag and poles in a larger bag with other stuff (not bad but mine was a bit short on room.

Bottom line, I need a bag that is about 1,300 - 1,500 cubic inches and I think the tent would pack much nicer in it.

Since I own a Harley let me go on and say it first, I know you guys are thinking it. :o

That tent will leak everywhere you pitch it! :p :D

By the time it hits the dealers it will cost $1899.00 with chrome poles and stakes and braided steel guy lines!

hmmmmmmm...... how do we protect our bikes from "bad" weather when we are riding them? I prefer to use a 1/2 cover to keep the morning dew off the top side of the bike & seat. It's the same cover I use when the bike is parked at work. A full cover would just as useful I imagine.

If the reason for having a shelter over the bike is to make loading & unloading easier in the rain.... a simple nylon tarp strung up over it would make it easier to pack / unpack.... and probably pack into a smaller sack.

When I looked at the HD tent... I envisioned the sleeping portion filling up with exhaust and hp robbing noise.

Not to stir up a heated debate; but...

That vestibule WILL NOT hold your bike.

I just bought that 2 weeks ago for my Big Agnes Muddy Slide 3 tent (older version of this tent) (I was wanting to use a vestibule instead of a tarp) for the same purpose or just sit under.
You DO have room for 2 people to sit inside in a regular size chair.

Another issue: When it rains, the sides where the zipper runs will collect water and need to be dumped often, DAMHIK.

Thanks nickatnite stir away :p , physically the foot print of it should hold my V-Star if their numbers are right but jockeying it in might be hard but I thought I could back up to the tent and then put the vestubale on over the bike :D

but the part of being able to sit out there to just be in the shade or out of wind or rain could be nice. :) The real bummer is the part where it holds water, that is not good.

EXACTLY... That is the sole purpose of mine. Just a place to get out of the elements and NOT be IN the tent.

Sad to say but in my garage, where I park my Harley and the wife's old 1990 Toyota Camry, the Camry it the one who "marks" it's territory. I guess I would leak a little too if I had 269,000 mile on me!:p

I have set it up several times in the back yard and I can take my time and still do it in about 8 minutes, if I had to hurry I could probably do it in 4 maybe 5 minutes.

having to work every saturday afternoon I have not been out in it overnight let alone in the rain :(

I have been wanting to get a bigger tent, I have looked at the big agnes, big house 4 & 6, I am a little over 6' tall and am leaning toward the 6, they both pack up the same size but the 6 weighs 3 lbs more which is not a big deal for me. I would like to know anyones opinions about the 4 & 6, ease of set up, quality, waterproofness, room height etc. REI has a great deal on both of them now thru the 11th. so would like to decide which is best and buy it before then.
