Nice campground in southern Siskiyou County about 1/4 mile west of I-5. Overall average amenities for a CA state campground although it is annoying have to pay for a shower after paying the $20 to camp. The facilities could of been cleaner although I was there on a Sunday night. You cannot see the crags from the campground but follow a short road up to the top of the hill and you'll be at the overlook. There is no highway noise but you will hear the trains at night. There's fishing nearby in the Sacramento River which, in this area, is a trout fisherman's paradise.

Sounds expensive. Last summer in Montana, I got a nice motel room for $25, so $20 plus a shower fee does not fit my definition of cheap camping.

Everything is expensive here. The price you pay for riding all year!:D

I stayed there a year ago this l;ast september. Was a nice campground. Alas, woke the next day to pouring rain which lasted all the way down through Redding, then through Lassen national Park and Forest.
