One thing that's always hard to find is gear that can be considered 'All Season'.

Well, taking into consideration that I live in Texas (Dallas area) and we might
get snow/ice twice a year which might last as long as a couple hours, these
pants come closest to an All Season solution for ME.

These are mesh pants that come with a windproof/waterproof liner - similar to gore-tex.

I've ridden with these in 100+ degree weather as well as 21 degree weather.

In the cooler temps, you'd probably want some long underwear on as you can tell
it's cold but not to the point that it hurts. I've ridden on the Wing as well as the ST1300
I used to have however, if you have a bike with less protection I don't know that
these will work for you. You might just need a winter pant.

The liner zips in at the waist and there are 3 snaps at the bottom of each leg. The liner then zips the same as the outer pant, zip the liner then the pant.

This has been extremely waterproof and has never leaked.

I love it because the liner packs away very small, not like the vinyl rain
suits and just makes it that much easier to wear ALL my gear
ALL the time.

I gave this a 4 on durability because I had to send it back to have
a zipper fixed after about 9 months but it was fixed for free
and I'm still satisfied.

These are now $156 at motorcyclecloseouts

Joe, I think you hit the nail on the head with your review. I got mine in april last year and love'em. Wore them all last summer into the fall and this winter down about 37 degrees. The only thing I have noticed riding my ST1300 is slight breeze coming up the leg on the leftside. E-Z in & out of them is a sure plus. Hotest day here in ST Louis was 103 on temp gauge and worked really well.

I have a pair of the First Gear HT Overpants. They also had a defective zipper. Purchased in Sept. 2005 with a 1 year warranty. Replaced June 2006, no problems. They are great people & they are located in Ft. Worth off TX 170 (I believe the name of the company that owns First Gear is Tucker Rocky.). I was up in the area & dropped off the pants & the replacement was at my door before I got home. They even called me to let me know they could not be repaired & were replacing them.

Great customer service that you rarely see anymore.

You'd think FG would make stronger zippers... LOL...

Tucker Rocky is a distributor... they probably just replaced them and sent the originals back as defective.. So far... these have been perfect all-weather pants... for TX anyway.

Pete, I wear them over my pants.. They are a little loose but hard for a short guy to get anything off the rack that fits perfect.

Looks like NewEnough.com also has them for 179.

I just bought a pair through New Enough. They were $179 with free shipping and not tax. I ordered the upgraded hip pads as well. Hard to not agree with Mellow.
