This maybe way off topic, but I was wondering, what magazines do you subscribe to. The only motorcycle magazines I get are Road Runner and Dual Sport News, and non-moto is The Backwoodsman.

Does anyone have any recommendations for magazines that have more to offer than the "Latest, Hotest New Gear" type of topics. I'm not interested in Cycleworld or Backpacker type stuff, a little less main steam I guess is what I'm asking.

If you do much riding south of the OK/TX border you may be interested in 'Ride Texas'

www.ridetexas.com

The March issue each year give the reader survey top 10 in just about any category you can imagine.

Hi Fredric,

I like this one, I pick it up at the news stand every once in a while. I may need to make more trips into Texas.

Thanks, Guy

Along with the Ride Texas magazine there is the Texas Highways magazine. It is a good source for riding in Texas.

Another magazine I pick up periodically is Motorcycle Escape. I found it Fry's. I have not grabbed it in a while, but it was good for ride info.

Thanks, but how about non-riding magazines.

Magazines?? My dad buys me a sub to Popular Mechanics every year (all his sons get it ;-). Other than we don't subscribe to any magazines. I have difficulty purchasing anything that is filled with advertisements, I'd rather pay more and not get any advertising (used to sub to Consumer Reports, that was refreshing). How can anyone trust reviews or product information in these rags when they get money from advertisers?

I find all the new stuff I need online ;-)
