How about hauling a portable generator & a microwave oven in a trailer? Be way cool to have some Cub Scout microwave popcorn while watching caveman TV. ;)

Hey you know, Mac and I have room for that stuff…LOL
I don’t have a generator but I do have a power supply just waiting to get hooked up in there.

Ya know, I have GW friends that have air conditioners in their Bunkhouses!!!! I know of at least one couple who do have a small generator also. I refuse to go that far. If you want an RV, get an RV!!!

Mac, if you want I could come by with the STMMH (St Mini-Motor Home), we could toss the KLR in the tub of the camper or even put it on top or even strap it on the trunk of the hack and away we could go, always wanted a KLR!

I too have done this with my GoldWing years ago. My GoldWing came with a hitch, looked like it had never been used and I just had to at least try it once or twice. Never did any distance, 12 miles one way maybe. I borrowed a small single bike trailer to put my Honda TL125 on to pull to a Indian Motorcycle picnic and field event. Yep, there were many of us who cheated or should I say, like the advantage of using a trials bike in the field events as any bike could be used.:D Wish I had a picture.

Keith, do you know any more about that trailer? I have a friend that is looking for something like that to haul a smaller bike behind his wing.

I really like that trailer. The center of gravity looks very low and the weight of the towed bike looks to be distributed equally over the axle of the trailer. That must have been posted later today, cause I looked at all those trailers on ADV last night and didn't see that one or missed it.

Nope, I know nothing more about that trailer. You could go here:

and ask Ratman, the picture is from post #165, that's his rig.

The answer is :)
" Well, I don't know what to tell you. I built mine out of tires and
wheels that I had....and some steel. With a Harbor freight tail light kit.
Sure towed good, up to 65 mph actual. I set it up to be 6 inches off the
ground. Seven might be better. 52 inches wide to the out side of the
tires.
With the bike loaded there is 10 lbs or so tongue weight. No springs on
the trailer....which means you need to tie it down by the wheels. That lets
the bike jump around and dampen the trailer's movement.
Lot of different ways to make all that come out.......My next one would
be quite different.....not that it would work any better, but the trailer
could be fifty lbs lighter then the 175 that mine weighs. "

Thanks, I thought it looked like it was suspensionless. I think a torsion bar axle would be the way to go.

Hahaha! I'm only laughing because I have considered that same thing. Maybe one of those canoe wheels that clip on for a one man carry. We could rig one end up to the rear of the bike somehow and put the wheels on the other end of the kayak. It would actually work, but I don't know if it would be legal.

Couple of things... those wheels are not designed for highway speeds I think. And you will still need brake, turn, marker lights. And there is no suspension (if that matters). Great idea... only probably not legal like you mention. LOL... didn't mean to rain on your parade!

Welcome Sir, I fulltimed for a year when I first retired in Dec '94. Had a 30' Wilderness and a '95 Ford Diesel dually. I agree it is much more fun on a bike and tent. there are a few of us headed for Alaska this year with some sort of camping configurations on bikes. Again welcome.

Hi Jetfixer,
I was thinking one long square bar under the kayak with a cross bar in the middle and torsion axle units welded to the cross with motorcycle lights at the rear. Or maybe a single wheel at the rear but that might be to much tounge weight.
