Cabela's Reflective Guyline

Bought a package of this for $9.99 in hopes of not tripping over the guylines/tent pegs at night.

Good news is that during the daytime the cord adds a little "bling" factor in replacing the black cord that came with the tent. Color is yellow/gold with silver reflective material woven into the cord.

Bad news is that I still managed to trip twice over the cord and pull the tent peg out of the ground. I was hoping that moonlight/starlight would be enough illumination to make the reflective cord glow at night, but it needs more direct light (as in flashlight) to make it glow in the dark. Guess this means using the LED headlight to prevent any more "oops" tripping when walking around in the dark.

Don't know if I'd recommend this product or not.

I has some of these on my Kelty during the Lake Tawakoni overnighter. They could be seen easily if you were shining a flashlight right at them.

Not as reflective as you'd like however, better than not having any reflective properties, at least that's how I feel.
